Pianists Are Already Playing Multiple Voices
Pianists are already playing multiple voices, multiple parts. String players grow up in youth orchestras. They grow up sensing other people playing with them. Many pianists, not all, but many pianists, grow up isolated. And so when they first play with other people, it's a huge adjustment. It's a different kind of listening because they have to get outside of themselves to listen. The whole idea of ceing is brand new to many panists.
