The Defensiveness of Night Hours

I'm inclined to defend the honor of night hours. My ideal would be going to sleep at 2am and maybe getting up at 10am. I do feel like I'm most productive in the evenings between 9pm and 2am. But then yeah, going to bed at 4am then really puts you out of sync with everyone else. It's interesting night hours always seem kind of defensive because society is designed around locks for some reason.
