Is There a Spill Over Effect?
"Celebrity expertese" is a term i use when trying to reassure people that no matter how narrowly they focus, there'll be a spill over effect. You're saying that he's a legitimate expert in a list of topics, but it spills over to these adjacent topics where the expertise is thinner. And not to pick on him, i know others are guilty of this. I myself, i'm sure, have been guilty of this in the past.
