The Effects of Thermal Tolerance on Performance

Researchers have shown that your ability to tolerate heat thermal tolerance is very much related to your VO2 max, your aerobic capacity. As we get older both of those things decline. We can still perform and manage heat quite well. But one thing that has been shown in older people's their first mechanism, their ability to sense thirst is decreases. Older athletes should be thinking more about sports drinks.
