Zen Zen Master - The Sword of Presents Cuts Through Time
The entire teaching of zen is based on that approach. It has nothing to do with suppressing a feeling. Suppressing a feeling requires will power and requires you to go tense. The true zen master may look also stern, but behind that sternness, there's something else. You can see the sternness in their facial expression, but a softness behind it. This is not will power. It's a sort of presence that cuts through time. To get irritated somewhere is already a mild form of suffering. Can survive inthe state of present, no problem. Can survive when you're totally a present. Do you have a problem? I asked that inthe powof now.
