The Nerve Center of Mark

The disciples are on a journey from Galilee to Jerusalem. They're going to celebrate the Passover, where Jesus was going to die and resurrect. The first time that Jesus shares this, Mark and his normal style kind of just moves along with the story. And you could sense that in the conversation it's feeling a little bit disorienting for them because they are thinking one thing, but Jesus is saying another thing.
