What Do You Think of Scalable Start Ups?

Start ups used to be just something that was almost like a hobby turned into a business for me. But now, if you look at what's happening with the stock market, almost all of them were formed post the internet. What i believe is happening is that the force that animates economy going forward are scalable start ups. So in the twentieth century, you got rich by investing in companies that were a bet against a different future. We can either build breakthroughs and say it's time to build, or we can tear things down. The roman empire went through dark ages. If we make bad choices of society, the inflection could go downward, and we will end up being worse
