The IRS will always assume if they think that there's something wrong, they're always gonna assume you're gonna owe them the maximum amount of tax possible. A lot of times those numbers on there can be very scary but have very little to do with what the true amount is. Ellie: If you get one of these notices, take a breather, maybe get yourself a scotch, take a sip, call your CPA or tax advisor, work through it, but don't panic.
