The Origins of Money
The Greeks were among the very first to introduce coinage that was then used in a widespread fashion for commercial and other purposes. But, you know, as wise as the Greeks were, they hit upon this form of money and decided to use it for social purposes less than 3000 years ago. You get us to the point where we were able to operate at that level of abstraction to conceive of something like money. So I guess my shorthand tag would be that money is always very philosophical.
