The Negative Taste in My Mouth When I Think of Builders

I think monetization and bounties and crypto have been extremely net positive influence on the hackathon scene. People don't remember that a pre-crypto hackathon scene was just enormously busy work. Even if the crypto stuff is infrastructure that's not all that technically complex, at least it's worth something to someone. Instead of literally being side projects that are actually not functional in doing anything, then make someone's resume looks slightly more impressive.
