I Am Not Thea and I Was Not in Her Circumstances
"It's difficult to enter into the circumstances of someone that you that you're not," she says. "My identification with her grief and her anger had to be absolute in order for it to be authentic." Thea goes back and forth between compassion for her son, sometimes contempt for him,. She wonders whether she's afraid of him after he comes out of prison.
