Comedians and Journalists Talking About Controversial Comedy

i think there is a lot of value that can be had in making light or fun, or whenever, with dark and difficult subject matter. And i just feel like the conversation is often so reductive as to being pointless. There are some comedians who make controversial stuff, and it gets written up, and it leads to that firestorm. I saw club comics jumping on alt shows. I saw all people who got really good about being funny enough could go survive at the clubs. A lot of comedy grew because everybody started crossing over.
