Is There a 3 Gene Signature That Can Diagnose TB?

There is a 3 gene signature in peripheral blood that would now diagnose whether you have active tuberculosis disease or not, compared to healthy controls. The problem is getting it adopted broadly. This is an entirely new kind of diagnostic tool. We've been using host responses for almost 150 years. It started with lactate. But they've been protein based biomarkers, not gene expression based biomarkers. So we haven't had any of those or actually none in the clinic. And so raising of an showing that they are as good, if not better than the current diagnostics that we have.
