I'm not an expert on other theories of quantum mechanics. I investigate the many worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics and in particular, what that has to say about other areas of physics. The most popular objective models in quantum foundation circles are the collapse models where wave functions have a certain probability of collapsing. Penrose's model is in the vein of what you might call triggered or induced collapse. That's all I know about it; I don't know anything else about it at all. As I always say, I would love to be wrong and be cool and I would change my mind. But yet only have a finite number of heartbeats...
