I wouldn't call it neo-colonialism. What I think happened is people in Belgium were finally thinking about, you know, King Leopold and the Congo ... It was one of the more brutal colonial wars that ever took place. And it's quite clear that Belgium got rich on it. The Guardian did a poll asking whether they thought that anything was wrong with the British Empire. Only 19% of people in Guardian polled thought that there was anything wrong or anything to be ashamed of about theBritish Empire.
