Black Surfers and the Racism of Surfing

Dara O'Mara: There are many different barriers that a sort of sea right? One is it's extremely expensive. Like being able to surf is not something that is necessarily easy of access to the beach. And then there's sort of the racism that folks are encountering, the folks are encountering who are surfers. Last year i was sort of the the first one that i'd herded specific to the surfing community,. where there was an incident in manhattan beach, california, with where black surfers were yelled at and racial slurs were hurled their way.
