Spotify is buying gimlet, a popular podcasting service. Is it going to be like net flix and drive people's behaviors? Potcasting has diversified in such a wild west area that they're not anywhere near the mainstream yet. The real challenge though is that the moment a song becomes popular, or an artist becomes popular, and they're on a major label, the back catalogue is instantly better. A new song instantly becomes part of the back catalogue which sort of increases the labels relative negotiating position.
