Theology and the Authority of the Tradition
Theology involves reflecting on scripture, reason, and tradition. I take scripture to be the ultimate authority for Christian theology. Slogans are lazy. They prevent actual rational discourse from taking place. Just defaulting to whatever your own personal preferred tradition says is incredibly lazy. We can't always understand the reasons why experts hold the opinions that they do.
