Jesus said in verse 29, this kind can only be cast out by prayer. Now think about that. Thereis no way in heaven that the disciples didn't pray. If they did nothing but what they seen jesus do, of course they would have prayed. Praying for boh equals a miracle. Obviously, god. It was in the will of god for this boy to be healed. But what was the separation between jesus and the disciples and their prayer? I think it calls im to question how we define prayer.
