Germany's Energy Ban and the Alternative to Russian Gas
If 70% of natural gas for Germany comes from Russia and that's cut off, what is the ceiling for the price of natural gas and is the alternative? I don't think Germany is taking this seriously, to be frank. And yes, they're very unwilling to bite that bullet. Until we recognise that we are at war, countries like Germany will find it difficult to bring real pressure to bear on Putin. If we accommodate Putin in some way, by continuing to buy his energy, or by not arming Ukraine sufficiently, would just empower him to do more.
