The Roman Catholic Church and Sainthoods

Luther is responding to a very specific error in the roman catholic church, and that has to do the veneration of the saints. And attribute a specific function to particular saints, as the papists teach and do. This is idolatry. That is not the same as remember remembering abiblical patriarchs or apostles ers. But really, our doctrine of sainthoods is that every one who is in christ is a saint.
