The Importance of a Good Job Description

I'm a big believer that you should do something beyond your day job and I actually actively encourage my design team to pursue things that are not designed. Even though it's counterintuitive to encourage designers or creatives or anybody and a company to do things beyond their day job it actually increases the value to the company. If you're not engaged with what you're doing then to me doesn't matter how much money or compensation or benefits you're getting you are still losing the ultimate value which is your time right.
