The 40s and the Loss of Identity
Most of your characters are in the 40s, but it's clear that these characters are still very much growing up. I wanted to show characters who are struggling to still kind of grow up even as they have all of these new responsibilities in their life. Many of your main characters are just so lost, whether they're married or not married or have kids or don't have kids. A lot of them are confronting any number of issues that are making them feel somewhat directionless in their lives.
