Is There Something We Shouldn't Ask?
When you do polling on issues related to motherhood, you do find that a lot of those sort of partisan differences begin to melt away. Mothers are not very controversial but when you reach out to broader family, it becomes more controversial. You still have these institutions which are unifying rather than polarizing. And certainly how you achieve policies in those spaces can be. Indeed, one could even make the argument, when we think about our polarized times, the only way you gong to do that is from the family out.
