But in a situation such as this, a mission can effectively be aborted by someone much further down the chain of command. The person that knows the most about whether that decision should be made is at the bottom. So he got to the point where he said, i want to try closing these react valves and see if that' the leak that we're seeing. And they said, are you sure? You know? As it turns out, libegott is right.
