The Alpine slide was first advertised as a simple family friendly ride. The park claimed that grandfathers could ride down the slide and even a mother holding her infant had safely made it to the bottom. But not long after opening, I got a different kind of reputation. It was constructed of concrete fiberglass and asbestos.
