The Prisoner's Daughter

There's a potentially good story here but instead it's all about the kid getting beat up by bullies and needing violence. The father is either a loser drug addict who doesn't do anything or the most insane, violent person imaginable just depending on what the movie requires of him at the moment. Every plot point you're right is so disingenuous. I hate to hate to be mean to child actors but sometimes they're bad and they're in bad movies. It was very confusing because the whole movie is very much anti-violence except when violence is very convenient for the plot. That's if listeners are confused Katherine Hardwick directed this film also directed another film called mafia mama starring Tony Klet
