The Bishop Ring Is a Spin Gravity Habitat

The bishop ring is a spin gravity continent class habitat proposed by forest bishop in 19 97 to take advantage of the greater tinsel strength of materials such as carbon, nano tubes and graphine. A bishopring one thousand kilometers in radius would rotate every 33 minutes to produce earth like gravity - but this structure still requires an artificial sun for a normal day. Bishop rings would be large enough to serve as a home to a billion people, or serve as a nature preserve for even the largest ecologies.
