How I Left Microsoft to Work at Facebook
I had just finished the book but I left Microsoft to go work at Facebook. It turned out they were already doing various things with Haskell. The company was very open to the idea of open sourcing things that they were working on mainly back end systems and so on. So I came along and said you know should we use Haskell because it's also a functional programming language, has lots of tooling and it's probably going to be a lot faster than your interpreter. And yeah we're very receptive to this idea so but we first all decided what we would need to prototype in order to make them work well.
