The Story of the Richmond Vampire
Benjamin mosby was a 28 year old employee of the railroad. He had been standing in front of the train's open coal door, shirt off, covered in sweat and shoveling fuel into the fire. The boiler burst under pressure, washing his body in a flood of scalding water. Mosby survived, though, crawled free from the rock and twisted metal and walked to safety. But he died the following day at the local hospital.
