The Mystical Path to Enlightenment

Buddhism and Hinduism have these sort of ways of being too where you basically engage in a set of beliefs a set of rituals the gods are up there somewhere else. What mysticism as you said seeks to do is have this direct communion with god or even in a in a secular age you could call it with nature itself. It's that urge to fully lose yourself in the thing to get complete unity and communion with God or nature that i think sets mysticism aside from regular orthodox religion.
