David Gino: Today I'm going to start my two-part episode series on France Fenno's The Wretched of the Earth. He explains that decolonization cannot replicate the values and ideals of Europe, which has a long history of colonization. In this discourse of replacing one species with another, how Fenno imagines decolonization is a process by which to create new humans in his language early. It completely uproots these ideals and replaces them with something better for the entire world.
