I think we do have levers that anatole underestimates. One is the thread of economic sanctions on russia, which i think could be quite powerful. I've been impressed, personally, by the sanctions that us and eu and uk. Leaders have all signalled might come. I think aiding the ukranians in their effort to defend themselves a is a meaningful step. To pretend that we've got no tools and are powerless seems to me wildly inaccurate. And so the thesis that we should pretend we're powerless doesn't, to me, make sense.
