The Voynich Manuscript

The Voynich manuscript has been dated to sometime around the 1400s, maybe as recently as 1438. It appears to be part pharmacopia, illustrations of plants and herbs, but also part alchemy,. Part just treatise on the cosmos, part of an encyclopedia for a world that doesn't exist. There's so many more. We'll never know exactly how many magical texts were lost to purges of ancient empires.
