A brief is like kind of knows a little like synopsis I guess on what the artist is looking for, you know, songs like this and um I mean it's funny because every brief is different. A lot of film and TV departments at publishing companies which is another reason I think publishing deals are important Because they have access to them. They'll give references for pop songs in the US and say we want songs like this but the lyrics have to be more about universal stuff so or film and TV is also another thing. It can either be for a pop artist or a movie. So when you get briefs for for movies for opening scenes for specific scenes for end titles some writers really like doing that
