The Asian games took place when I was in college and that was a big thing because it was the first time India was hosting something internationally like that. We were there for a good week or 10 days watching all of this and then one weekend we took off to Jaipur just touristy kind of a thing to go and see the pink city, she says. She remembers getting so agitated by an incident where sadar boys were frisked on their way back from Delhi in the early 80s.
