How Did You Decide to Do Quantum Chemistry Research?

I went to a residential high school in Louisiana called the Louisiana School for math science and the arts. You actually live in a dorm at high school, attend high school there. Even back then you knew you were doing advanced courses and stuff. In high school I did quantum chemistry research at Texas Tech. We were doing all kinds of like simulated models of figuring out energy states of different molecular geometries. Really interesting and engaging stuff.
