How to Recycle Lithium Ion Batteries
Alithium ion battery isn't recycable in the same way that paper or glass might be. Most of the batteries that are recycled undergo a very high temperature smelting process, and that requires a lot of energy. In canada, the fires from lithium ion batteries are costing operators over one point two billion dollars annually. There's a company called ascend that's got a recycling facility in covington, georgia that promises that it's got a great fix for this problem. And it's actually attracting some investors.
