The Disappearance of Formative Assessment in Early Years

In primary what children supporting each other children working things out for themselves it's really interesting because all of this kind of which I'm guessing linked to kind of a distributed cognition aspect. in EYFS and in sort of continuous provision models in key stage one but then gradually kind of disappears in a lot of settings if the children get older. It's also partly conditioning you know our students learn that if they don't answer the question the teacher will answer it for you. So then the students become very resistant years ago Mark and Spradbury wrote a great article about conservative pupils.
