The Ptolemy Trap and Jobs to Be Done

Theory of jobs to be done is a simple model for understanding why customers do what they do. It's not the product that pulls me in like a magnet, but rather some job pops up in my life and when that happens I look around for solutions to hire. So we use jobs as a metaphor to solve for those jobs. A job can be a big problem or a small problem like I want to repair my car or soothe my sore throat.
