How to Apply Six Sigma to Non-Material Processes

The most challenging things that I've used Six Sigma on are more what's known as transactional work processes. We're using it to improve our environmental health and safety problems in the company. The data is a little bit unique and difficult to measure because you're measuring human systems, so to speak. So applying Six Sigma to almost any non-material process has been very interesting.
