The Importance of Race and Ethnicity in Chicago

The overall population of Chicago is like a third white and then basically like 30% black and 30% Latino. So this is where like the margins, I think will be very important. And so if Johnson is able to run up really large margins in south side, that could give him and keep it close among Latinos. If Valus is keeping Johnson's margins down more in south side and and winning some of the heavily Latino parts would be a sign that he's probably on his way to victory.
