The Unpopularity of China's Pension System
China's pension system is built upon a pay-as-you-go system, basically. But in reality, the young people are paying for the pensioners,. So the system can work very well as long as there are many working people and small percentage of pensioners. China had already confirmed in 2022 that it would delay retirement ages, starting in 2025.
