Compassion Is a Disposition of the Heart
In the past two years we have seen plenty of authorities tell us that we need to act in this or that way in order to be compassionate. Compassion is a disposition of the person, it is not about rules and about following this or that thing. And so compassion is something which we should always be examining ourselves to see whether or not we are being compassionate,. We should not be trying to impose compassion on others.
