The necropolis area of ancient times is a little inland from the Old Port. The great harbor now in Alexandria is where you'll find hotels, cafes, shops and civic monuments that kind of thing along with an extremely busy road. So all there is left to do now is to persuade somebody or maybe just do it myself, jump in a taxi next time I'm in Alexandria.
