Climate Change and the Quatanary Glacial
Climate change is erratic, with distinct variations occurring over any sample period of 50 thousand years. In brief, the world is an average, colder now than it was five million years ago. When you plot the cor derive temperature on a gragh, you notice a significant average down turn in averages that begins to occur around two and a half million years old. This has come to be known as the quatenary glaciation, and is still active to this day. We do know that this situation feeds itself, as a glaciated earth will reflect the sun's energy away from the planet,. further exascerating the cold climate and making it even colder.
