How Many Consumers Lost How Much Money From Bank Failures in 2008?

In 2008, there was 25 bank failures in the U.S., according to FDIC.gov. If you have more than $250,000 in one account, you lost in the bank went bankrupt. I think it goes back to this Cyprus example, which is, if you have more of an account and FDIC isn't covering the additional amount, to some degree, you made a mistake,. It's your fault whether you think you made the mistake or not. There's a personal responsibility.
