Samuel is the Chuck Norris of the ancient Israel. He consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice. Consecration was when you would offer yourself publicly in front of the village. And so imagine what it was like that day when words suddenly leaked out that this is more than a sacrifice.
