The Pros and Cons of Intramuscular Epinephrine
ARS is a San Diego based specialty pharmaceutical company. They have an inhaled epinephrine to substitute for intramuscular epinephrine and the ideas that by eliminating the needle, you eliminate some of the reservation and hesitancy to perhaps treat an emerging anaphylactic event. And so ultimately the panel voted unanimously, but in the large majority that that was not a concern to pre-clude approval. But I've actually asked a lot of people who carry around EPI pens, what they would think of an intranasal spray instead. And unanimously, everyone likes the idea right.
