What Does Quantum Gravity Look Like?

Quantum gravity is a term we use to describe any theory that combines both gravity and quantum mechanics. In practice, it would essentially look like some quantum mechanical theory that at large distances, reproduces Einstein's theory of general relativity. I think few people question what the quantum mechanics is correct. We have very good reasons to think that general relativity is wrong in various limits. There are purported problems, but it's unclear whether there's a satisfactory answer to that we can attain.
